Your Snohomish Wedding Story

We are Sunny and Tina, a husband-and-wife Snohomish wedding photographer and film team based next door in Lake Stevens. Lord Hill Farms, Hidden Meadows, Woodland Meadow Farms, Dairyland, Swans Trail Farms and the garden venues around town are a short drive from home, and this page covers how we would plan a wedding at each. Collections start at $2,500, and on the Classic and Signature collections you get both of us.

Snohomish gives a wedding two things most towns cannot: wide-open farm and valley light, and a historic downtown a short drive from the venues. We plan your timeline around both, so the ceremony sits in good light, the portraits land in the last warm hour, and there is time for a detour to First Street if you want brick and storefronts in the gallery.

Snohomish Wedding Venues: What We Plan Around

Nine Snohomish venues, each with a different look, and the things we plan around at each. For capacity, price ranges and how to choose between them, read our guide to Snohomish wedding venues.

Lord Hill Farms

Four hundred and fifty acres above the valley with a two-storey event building and a wall of windows facing the Cascades, and one of the few farm venues here that hosts weddings year-round. The upstairs view is the portrait everyone wants; we plan the timeline so you are up there when the light is. Our Lord Hill Farms wedding guide covers the whole day.

Hidden Meadows

A sixth-generation family farm on the valley floor with an indoor ceremony hall whose altar looks out to the garden, an outdoor site with a concrete aisle through established gardens, and a reception hall with large sliding doors. It is the venue that has made peace with Washington weather. See how we would photograph a Hidden Meadows wedding.

Woodland Meadow Farms

The forest wedding: a ceremony under tall pines, a reception beneath a chandelier-lit structure at the garden's edge, and in between a pond with a bridge, a birch path and a meadow the venue calls the golden hour meadow. Open May to October. Our Woodland Meadow Farms guide maps the light through the day.

Dairyland

A working farm with a restored barn and sweeping pasture views, room for about 250 guests, and both a covered barn and open lawns, so the ceremony can move without the pictures suffering.

Swans Trail Farms

The quintessential Snohomish barn-and-field venue, with a large rustic barn for the reception and open fields for the ceremony. It hosts seasonal agritourism, so date coordination matters.

Thomas Family Farm

Multiple ceremony sites, a barn and wide-open acreage, scaling to roughly 250 guests. Like Swans Trail it runs seasonal events, so date coordination matters, and the open fields suit sunset portraits.

Cedardale Gardens

Manicured lawns, mature trees, water features and a covered pavilion: a garden ceremony with an all-weather reception, for lush greenery without gambling on the forecast.

Jardin del Sol

Formal landscaping, a gazebo, fountains and a covered reception hall, with all-inclusive coordination packages. The gazebo and fountains give the portraits a formal-garden look.

The Lookout Lodge

Timber-frame architecture, big windows and forested grounds for a more intimate guest list of about 120 to 150. The fully indoor lodge makes it the safest Snohomish choice for a shoulder-season or winter wedding.

Snohomish Wedding Photographer Prices

Prices are the same at every venue in Snohomish and across Snohomish County, and they are all on our pricing page. There are three collections.

Elopement / Intimate, $2,500: one photographer, up to 4 hours of coverage, 200+ edited images, an online gallery and a print release. Right for a courthouse or backyard wedding, or a small ceremony and dinner at one of the garden venues.

Classic, $4,500: both of us, up to 8 hours, an engagement session, 500+ edited images, wedding-day timeline help, gallery and print release. This is the collection most Snohomish farm weddings book: getting ready through the first dances with two photographers covering both sides of the day.

Signature, $5,500: both of us for the full day (10+ hours), rehearsal dinner coverage, an engagement session, 800+ edited images, a premium leather album, timeline help, gallery and print release. Built for a long farm wedding day.

Want film as well? We shoot wedding films at the same three tiers, and combined photo and video bundles run $5,000, $9,000 and $11,000 so one team covers everything. Multi-day and South Asian celebrations are quoted individually. For how these numbers compare across the county, see what wedding photography costs in Snohomish County.

A Snohomish Wedding Day, Planned Around the Light

In June and July the light lasts past 8 pm; by late September the sun is down before 7. We build your timeline backwards from that moment: couple portraits in the final hour, the ceremony about two hours before sunset so faces are lit but not squinting, and family formals straight after while everyone is still together. A full wedding photography timeline is on the Journal, and timeline help is included in the Classic and Signature collections.

Summer weekends at the agritourism farms, Swans Trail and Thomas Family Farm among them, can overlap with public events, so we ask the venue early which portrait spots will be open to you on the day.

For the engagement session included with Classic and Signature, the in-town favorites are First Street's brick storefronts, the Centennial Trail, Lord Hill Regional Park and the riverfront. Our Snohomish engagement photo spots guide has the light and parking notes for each.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a Snohomish wedding photographer cost?

Our wedding collections are the same price at every Snohomish venue: Elopement is $2,500 for up to 4 hours with one photographer, Classic is $4,500 for up to 8 hours with both of us and an engagement session, and Signature is $5,500 for a full day of 10 or more hours with an album. Combined photo and video bundles start at $5,000.

Do you photograph weddings at Lord Hill Farms, Hidden Meadows and the other Snohomish venues?

Yes. We photograph weddings at any venue, backyard or church in Snohomish. This page and our Journal have planning notes for Lord Hill Farms, Hidden Meadows, Woodland Meadow Farms, Dairyland, Swans Trail Farms, Thomas Family Farm, Cedardale Gardens, Jardin del Sol and The Lookout Lodge.

How far ahead should we book a wedding photographer in Snohomish?

Six to twelve months ahead. Summer and September Saturdays at the farm venues go first, and most of them only host weddings from May to October, which packs the season. If your date is closer than that, ask anyway.

Can we do portraits in downtown Snohomish on our wedding day?

Yes. First Street's brick storefronts and the riverfront are a short drive from most of the valley venues, so a detour for couple portraits fits into many timelines; we work it out on the timeline call. We also use the Centennial Trail and Lord Hill Regional Park for engagement sessions, which are included in the Classic and Signature collections.

What happens if it rains on our Snohomish wedding?

Most of the venues here were built for it: Hidden Meadows has an indoor ceremony hall, The Lookout Lodge is fully indoor, Cedardale Gardens and Jardin del Sol have covered reception spaces, and the barns at Dairyland, Swans Trail and Thomas Family Farm shelter the reception. We bring clear umbrellas, scout covered spots at your venue in advance, and build a weather plan into your timeline call.

Do you also film weddings in Snohomish?

Yes. We offer wedding films at the same three tiers as photography, and photo-plus-video bundles at $5,000, $9,000 and $11,000 so one team covers both. Films are delivered in 8 to 12 weeks; photo galleries in 6 to 8 weeks, with a sneak peek within a week.
