The sun was already low when we walked out onto the lawn. It came in sideways across the grass, caught the edge of every curl in the bride's hair and turned the groom's green bow tie almost gold. Behind them: a wide lawn, a line of evergreens, a little white chapel, and a white tent waiting for later. Nobody was in a hurry. They kissed, they laughed, they walked, and we kept up.
Her gown was off-the-shoulder lace, her bouquet peach and cream; he wore a charcoal three-piece suit with a green bow tie and a white boutonniere. By the time the light went, the tent was strung with bulbs and the dancing had started. Working as a husband-and-wife team means two angles on every moment of a day like this, and once the reception begins, one camera stays on the dance floor while the other works the tables.
